Keep Your Circle Small – Proverbs 18

How many times have you picked up your Bible only to get lost in words and stories that seem distant and impossible to relate to? It seems that in today's world, the very real challenges we face feel bigger and bigger, while the God we want to connect with seems farther and farther away.
In this book, you will find that you aren't alone in the struggles you face. You will find a "mom" who isn't afraid to get real, who isn't afraid to tell you the truth according to God's Word, and who believes in you and the incredible person you were created to become.
You will also find that your best friend, Jesus, is waiting right here. He wants to walk beside you and guide you through the toughest storms of life, and bring you to the light on the other side
My name is Bobbie Jo Schlueter, and I am the author of Mom Talks. I have spent more than 25 years teaching in the public school system in Nebraska ranging from kindergarten through sophomores in high school. The most rewarding and rich experiences in my career came from the 10 years I spent teaching eighth grade English. My experiences with middle and high school students in those years have given me insight into the lives of teenagers from many walks of life.
My career has taken me to schools so small that there were only two rooms and 20 kids and has also taken me into a large rural district with beautiful cultural diversity, many different languages, and food like you have never eaten before. The hundreds of children I have taught over the years have found a place deep in my heart, and their stories have become the inspiration of Mom Talks.
